
The other day, the Ukrainian Water Polo Cup was held in Lviv. Teams from Lviv, Kyiv, Kharkiv, Mariupol and Transcarpathia took part in the competition.
Water polo club “Dynamo” Lviv” became the winner of the Cup of Ukraine among men, and this is already the 13th Cup of Ukraine won for the team.
The silver medalist of the tournament was Water polo club “Mariupol”, the bronze medalist was Water polo club “Kharkiv” (NTU-KhPI-ShVSM).

The President of the Water Polo Federation of Ukraine, Oleksandr Svishchov, congratulated Water polo club “Dynamo” Lviv on the victory, and noted that the game and “silver” of the water polo players of Water polo club “Mariupol” was a pleasant surprise.
“Mariupol hasn’t been to the finals in 10 years, it’s great to see this team now in contention for honours. They showed a very good game, I congratulate them, and I also congratulate “Dynamo Lviv” on the victory,” said Oleksandr Svishchov.

Oleksandr Svishchov has been actively involved in the development of Ukrainian sports for more than 10 years. Thanks to his work, water polo in Ukraine continues to develop unceasingly, and Ukrainian athletes — to give Ukraine new victories. Thus, Water polo club “Dynamo” Lviv” has become the winner of the Cup of Ukraine in water polo for the 7th year in a row.

The President of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine, Vadym Gutzait, noted: “It is very nice that for the first time in 10 years, a team from Mariupol is playing in the final of the Cup of Ukraine. It is important that this club was preserved. The federation is working, the clubs are playing and, despite the war, we are moving forward and have saved almost all sports that were in a critical state when the full-scale war began.”
