The premiere of the documentary “Hammer” took place in Lviv, which tells the story of the commander of the 2nd Rifle Battalion, Taras Bobanych, who gave his life defending Ukraine from Russian aggression.

As noted by the famous Lviv philanthropist Oleksandr Svishchov, this film will become an important page in the annals of the Ukrainian people’s struggle for independence. According to him, the film will be shown not only in Ukraine, but also abroad — in the USA, Canada and other countries, so that the international community can see the heroism of Ukrainian defenders. The main message of the film reflects Taras Bobanych’s life credo: “It’s time for us to be strong.”

At the premiere, Oleksandr Svishchev expressed his gratitude to Taras’ family and the creative team for creating the film, noting the special role of Hammer’s military comrades, who shared their memories of the commander.

The 2nd Taras Bobanych Rifle Battalion separately thanked Oleksandr Svishchev and the Sports and entertainment center LEOLEND for their support in creating the film. The military emphasized that the unity of Ukrainian society is the key to the liberation of the occupied territories and the development of Ukrainian statehood.

Oleksandr Svishchov, who recently became the laureate of the “Treasure of the Nation 2024” award and received an award from the former Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valeriy Zaluzhny for volunteer activities, emphasized that the film “Hammer” is a significant contribution to preserving the memory of the heroes who defend the Ukrainian land.
