Today, the development of sports is not just about competition, it is an investment in national identity, strength of spirit and the future of the country. One of those who deeply understands this mission is Oleksandr Svishchov: entrepreneur, philanthropist, president of the Water Polo Federation of Ukraine and founder of the Leoland sports center in Lviv.
Leoland: a platform for new champions
Established in 2022, Leoland has already become the heart of youth sports development in western Ukraine. The modern LEOSPORT tennis courts operating on its base have become the venue for many landmark events, including the latest masterclass by Ukrainian tennis legends Elina Svitolina and Serhiy Stakhovsky.
This event brought together over 160 young athletes from different parts of Ukraine. And importantly: it was thanks to the investments and systematic support of Oleksandr Svishchov that it took place at such a high level.
Sport as part of national resilience
The master class was made even more meaningful by the participation of military personnel from the UNBROKEN Ukraine rehabilitation center. Together with the children, they took to the court, demonstrating their indomitable spirit. This once again emphasized that sport is a powerful force that unites, inspires, and helps overcome the most difficult challenges.
Game-changing initiatives
The masterclass became part of the Svitolina Foundation program, which works on the development of tennis in the regions. However, without a stable infrastructure, which is taken care of by people like Oleksandr Svishchov, such programs would remain only on paper. Svishchov not only opened Leoland, but also systematically supports the development of the sport, investing resources, time and heart.
Looking to the future
“I believe that sport shapes the character of a nation. By investing in youth, we invest in the future of Ukraine,” emphasizes Oleksandr Svishchov.
His work is not a temporary action, but a long-term strategy. He is building a foundation on which new generations of champions, leaders, and conscious citizens will grow.
