“We have created an enterprise that combines modern technologies, strict quality standards and comfortable conditions for employees. This plant contributes to the development of the Ukrainian food industry and its integration into international logistics and trade chains, said Andriy Kachan, director of the Lviv Regional Fish Processing Plant.

The new plant will produce and process products from pond, river and marine fish.

“It is very good that even in times of war, new businesses and production facilities are opening in the Lviv region. This makes our community even more independent and financially sound, and as a result we can help the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which protect our safety and lives every day.” added Oleksandr Svishchov, co-investor of the plant.

The plant was designed and built in accordance with modern international standards of quality, environmental safety and food hygiene (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 22000).

The factory already has a cold room, smokehouse, drying room and salt baths for the production of different types of products.

The company is divided into four “coloured” zones according to the principle of flow separation.

  • The grey area is a ramp for loading raw materials and unloading finished products.
  • The blue zone is a wet production facility for processing and packaging of raw, salted and smoked fish.
  • The green area is a dry area for the production and packaging of canned and semi-finished products.
  • The yellow zone is for sanitary facilities.

The factory building has three floors.

The first and second are the production levels and the third is the technical level where ventilation, refrigeration and engineering systems are located.

The plant will process mackerel, herring, sprats, herring, capelin, carp, trout, salmon, shrimp and other types of seafood.

There are also workshops where various semi-finished products will be made – cutlets in oil or sauces, chops, minced meat, nuggets and strips, dumplings and dumplings with fish, broths, etc.
