Oleksandr Svischov starts new season: new faces and big ambitions

The Super Cup of Ukraine in men’s water polo took place recently in Lviv. Two Lviv teams – Dynamo Lviv and LFKS-Akvatico – met in the battle for the trophy. Dynamo won with a score of 13:7, confirming their status as the leaders of Ukrainian waterball.

A feature of the match was innovative – the captains chose the referees by draw, which added intrigue and made the game even more unpredictable, said Ukrainian Water Polo Federation president Oleksandr Svischov.

Svishchov: “Youth is the future of Ukrainian water polo”.

Oleksandr Svischov stressed that such matches are important not only for the teams, but also for the popularisation of sport among young people: “It was an interesting match. We expected intrigue, but it didn’t work out. I thank LFCS-Aquatico for the match and congratulate Dynamo on their victory. Many young people are joining teams today, so I hope for a good championship.”

His position once again confirms that the development of Ukrainian water polo is systematic – relying on a new generation of athletes and the support of traditional teams.

Federation as a driving force

Under the leadership of Oleksandr Svishchov, the Ukrainian Water Ball Federation not only organises tournaments, but also transforms them into real sports festivals. The competitions become a platform for nurturing young talent and shaping the culture of team play.

Joint mission with Kozlowski

Moreover, Oleksandr Svishchov’s activities go beyond sport. He was recently ranked among the top ten investors of Western Ukraine, proving that the combination of entrepreneurship and patronage of the arts can be a strategic resource for the country.

Their work together lays the foundation for new victories – both in sport and in Ukraine’s economy.

A glimpse into the future

The Super Cup derby in Lviv was further confirmation that Ukrainian water polo has prospects even in difficult conditions. And thanks to the support of the Federation and its president Oleksandr Svishchov, the sport is not only preserving traditions but also inspiring a new generation to great achievements.
